I'm going to have a pork chop, pasta, garlic bread and a salad.
I made pork chops on the BBQ last night. Had one with a salad.
I always line the pan with parchment. I'm a big fan of easier cleanup.

The instructions are to drain and rinse the berries. I drained them and retained the liquid but did not rinse them. I reduced the liquid to about an ounce with the intention of using it to make a glaze. But when I tasted the reduced juice it was pretty sweet, so I decided against making a glaze with it. The glaze would be too sweet for my taste.

It's good to be back! I wasn't sure if the problem was on my end or the site's.

September 22, 2023 at 11:00 am in reply to: What are you Baking the Week of September 17, 2023? #40432I decided to make Chewy Fruit and Oatmeal Bars. It's a recipe that I saw many years ago on the box of Quaker Oats. It's no longer on the box but they have it on their website. I modified it a little, I subbed all the sugar (3/4 cup brown sugar and a 1/2 cup granulated sugar) with 1/2 cup of maple syrup. Instead of using a baking pan and then cutting it into bars, I portioned it out into cup cake liners. I had to guess at the baking time, probably overbaked them a little but they turned out good.

On Sunday I made brats and boneless pork chops on the grill. Today I made a large salad with slices of pork chop on it.
