Yeah, they do have a lot of mixes now which I rarely buy although some of the cake mixes are good in a pinch.
Last night had baked ziti with Italian bread and garlic knots.
Haven't made ciabatta in a long time. Tomorrow is the day. This guy is a hoot!
Salmon, roasted potatoes with rosemary and lots of garlic, salad. Wash it all down with chardonnay. Has anyone grown their own garlic? I'm going to give it a shot.
Yesterday baked a yellow cake, cherry filling, buttercream icing for my husband on his birthday.

Glad your sour dough came out to your liking. About 25 yrs ago I did the sourdough thing with catching the wild yeast, feeding the starter, making bread, etc. Then I realized I don't really like sour dough that much and asked myself why I was going to all the trouble! Lol never made it again.
Oh, I'm talking about kaf flour.
At stopnshop this morning they had 5 lb bags of unbleached flour. Bought 2. They had the unbleached organic flour, too, at nearly twice the price. Think the organic flour is worth it? Maybe one day I'll buy some.
Dinner tonight is cooks illustrated best buttermilk pancakes. They are really the best pancakes I've ever made! Of course, butter and maple syrup, bacon and/or breakfast sausage.
Thanks, Joan. Good idea, Mike, to put garlic in it. Love garlic! I use it alot. Thank God I've been blessed with no allergies. The farmers market has a bread stand with a great roasted garlic bread with chunks of garlic in it. Hope they open in June but with this pandemic you never know.
Joan, I'm really intrigued with the pickle juice marinade. I'm trying that next time we have chicken. I made penne with square meatballs (leftover meatloaf lol), salad and Italian bread I made this morning. Ribs sound great. I like the country style ribs with bbq sauce.
