Made morning glory muffins from the kaf whole wheat book. Alot of ingredients but well worth the effort. I didn't have orange juice so substituted water but used some blood orange infused olive oil in with the vegetable oil which gave them a great subtle orange flavor. I chopped the apple rather than grating it. It made 18 reg muffins (recipe said 12). Very moist and delicious. Will definitely make them again.

Meatloaf, carrots, sauteed sugar snaps (from farmer's market), roasted garlic bread (from farmer's). Strawberry shortcake with local strawberries for dessert.

Played with the pain de mie again. The white bread filled the pan perfectly. I really do like the close crumb. 90 here today but baking is never an issue because I have on the central air. 😊 I wouldn't want to live without it!

Go for it, Aaron! Good article. Like I said before, I did that yrs ago (it was fun) but don't like sourdough.

Made the white wheat flour smaller pullman loaf. Weighed everything and it was right on the money. Filled the whole pan nicely. Happy dance.

FedEx delivered my white wheat so I'm going to make a loaf in my pain de mie tomorrow. I have to break down the bag into smaller quantities to put in the freezer. Says it was packaged on 3-30-2020. Yay!

Hey, thanks, Joan! I'm going to try this recipe next time. I never use an egg -- interesting. I've used vinegar in the past and I usually use all crisco. I make my crust with flour, butter, crisco, a pinch of salt, and ice water. What I like about using all crisco is that you can roll it out right away. Plus it's very flaky. The crust is my favorite part of the pie.

Boneless leg of lamb studded with garlic and rosemary on top plus a little olive oil. Mom will have mint jelly and we're having bearnaise sauce (I have tarragon growing out back). Roasted potatoes and homemade garlic croutons on salad. Wine!!

Omg, Joan! I just took an apple pie out of the oven, too! We're on the same wavelength. Lol

Italiancook, just go to bakersauthority.com and at the bottom of their website you can put in your email to get their newsletter and coupons when they have them. That's how I got the email with the 5% off. This is my first time ordering from them. My niece-in-law told me about them. She ordered ap flour and split the 50 lbs with her mother.

Yes, I have a standing freezer that stores my flour. Plus the fridge and freezer plus a smaller fridge. Plenty of room. 😊

Chocomouse, that's the best kind of meal!
