Bought a 1.97 lb cabbage for 29 cents! Love the sale of 15 cents/lb. Made coleslaw this morning. Also, scored 2.5 lbs of chicken tenders for $5.17. Lots of tenders left over for other days. So that's dinner. I'm marinating the chicken.
I made the wheat, semolina, rye recipe from Len and BA. I wanted to try my new banneton so used that and slashed it just for the heck of it. Tastes good!

Yikes on the wind turbine!
Took beef bourguinon out of the freezer that I made a month ago. That and some garlic bread will be dinner.
Thanks everyone for the condolences. I took care of my mom and husband for a long time because they both had medical problems. So going from 1000 mph to 0 is quite an adjustment. We had no children and my brother and 4 nephews and their families live in other states. Yeah, it's hard but I have good friends and the dog. I take him to the parks 3 times a day so that helps. Walking in the fresh air is good. I still miss my husband but it's getting better with time. I gave away alot of the buns I baked because I can't possibly eat them all myself. Now I get to cook all the food that I like. My husband was a steak, hotdogs, Mac and cheese kind of guy. I mean, I ate that, too, because I cooked for us but they are not my fave. It's weird to know I won't be cooking certain things anymore. I made chicken chili the other day whereas I always made it with meatloaf mix because that's what he liked. Life changes but you have to go forward which is what I'm doing. Glad I'm back here to check out all the delicious thing you are cooking and baking. Thanks!
I definitely want to make this and have all ingredients on hand. Perhaps this weekend. Thanks for the recipe.
I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things.
