Had stir fry on Wednesday. Yesterday tortellini with pesto and sweet Italian sausage. I had a bumper crop of basil last summer and alot of pesto in the freezer.
Used the whey in my ww bread recipe. Honestly, couldn't taste a difference.
Made the frugal gourmet's crust less quiche but I always use cheddar, provolone and asiago instead of jack cheese.
Made cornbread yesterday and whole wheat bread with the whey today. I didn't taste the ww bread yet.
Hot dogs
The pot cheese, noodles, sour cream and bacon (turos csusza) was very delicious and filling.
Bought some today from Amazon -- Sawyer brand. Took a prophylaxis dose of doxy today. Hopefully, that will do it.
Thanks, I'll do that! It was actually a brown Lyme tick. Ugh
I'm looking forward to growing my herbs and lone tomato plant. I learned a lesson last year. I bought several raised long planters on wheels. I planted the tarragon along with parsley and rosemary. The tarragon ended up tasting like parsley! Won't make that mistake again.
Len, that pizza looks so good. I love eggplant, especially the white ones.
Anything chocolate has to be good!I tried a new cornbread recipe the other day from tastesbetterfromscratch. While the texture and moistness was great, it was much too sweet. I couldn't eat it. I'm going back to my tried and true recipe. And I was looking forward to having a piece for breakfast the next day. Bummer!
Today I baked blondies, jam filled almond bars and sugar cookies rolled in pink sugar and others in gold sugar. My friend's husband asked me to bake some cookies for his photography exhibit at the library tomorrow. It'll be fun to see his pictures.
Sounds delicious. That is a decadent cake!
Joan, I'm definitely putting that on my list to make. Thanks!
I'm making cornbread to go with the chicken chili tonight
I'm originally from NJ and we ate hot cross buns every Easter. I'm Lutheran.
