No cooking here on this rainy day ,we had venison chili from the freezer.
Mike your cookies look good, I still gotta make them again.
We had chargrilled chicken breast,thickened potatoes and green beans.
Thanks for the birthday wishes,he enjoyed his day even though it rained just about all day.
Aaron the cookies look good to me, I've never tried them that way.I know you are proud Violet is interested in baking.. that makes me smile.
Today I made the little chocolate cake for my husbands birthday- tomorrow he will be 72 and we have both already had a piece tonight.
We had fried cubed pork, stewed squash and potato salad.
I used leftover lima beans and made lima bean soup, cut up half an onion,1 rib of celrery,1 carrot added leftover chicken dripping from baked chicken, tomato gravy, after that was tender I added the lima beans and leftover rice.Just right for us two bowls each and no leftovers now.

Tonight we had spaghetti and meat sauce with garlic toast.

Our neighbor gifted us some fresh oysters in the shell and we shucked them (not fun) but the taste was amazing ,we had oyster stew.
We had to go to town and I found Eggland's Best 18 count eggs at Target for $5.89 a carton ,I got 2. Milk was $2.99 a gallon got 2.I felt like I hit the jackpot.
We had Brunswick Stew from the freezer, easy day for me.
I baked the sourdough bread today ,will cut it tomorrow.
I think I'll add chocolate chips to the peanut butter cookies next time.Glad to hear y'all are liking these cookies.

Mike your onion soup looks wonderful!Tonight we had stew beef with potatoes,carrots & onions on top of corn bread, good and warming to the tummy.
We had a hamburger steak with mushrooms and onions,baked potato and tossed salad.
