Bev sure hope y'all don't get much damage, the weather channel sure is showing lot's of rain. We've had so much rain this summer.Praying you don't lose power!
Tonight we had salmon patties, mashed potatoes and green beans seasoned with bacon.
Looks great especially with that ice cream.
Taco burgers here with pork-n-beans.Easy.
It was really good even my picky husband liked it,very moist and juicy.
Ribs sound good Navlys!
BakerAunt I agree you always cook and bake healthy!
Tonight I marinated boneless chicken breasts which I had pounded with cast iron meat mallet that was my Granddaddy's has prongs on one side for cubing and the other looks like a hatchet with wooden handle my favorite thing in my kitchen that's really old.I marinated them in Italian dressing with lemon juice and honey then put in cast iron fry pan with a little butter and the marinade with thinly sliced onions cooked till all the sauce was gone and it was really good!Tender and juicy, with that we had a baked potato and corn.RiversideLen that pie looks awesome!
Navlys I love breakfast for supper! We had a chef salad with tomatoes, cheese, eggs, beets, onion, turkey and ham with saltine crackers and homemade 1000 Island.
I made BBQ from the left over pork roast and French fries.
I baked a loaf of white bread from Moomies Burger buns recipe but subbed potato water and part buttermilk for the liquid, cut the yeast as BakerAunt said to 2 teaspoons and added in a half cup of leftover mashed potatoes. It turned out great. It was a little soft when I turned out to shape had to knead in about a half cup of flour.I baked it in a 9x5 and it rose to 1 inch above pan.Baked it for 30 minutes it has a good crust and a good crumb, light.I buttered it when it came out and no squishing when turned out.Happy here, had some with toast and fig jam and it hit the spot!I haven't baked a lot lately so I was happy!
I baked a pork roast with dripping made a gravy to go over mashed potatoes and corn.
Light supper for us,eggs, rice and toast.92*F here.
Bev the cooling off here is high 80's and low 90's still hot but I'm cooking soups.
