We had hamburger steaks and fries.
Today I browned some stew beef,then added a roux for gravy and onions,when this came together I put it in my tin roaster pan and baked it for three hours at 325*it came out really tender,with that we had rice and green beans with some sliced tomatoes on the side.
I made something like Sloppy Joe and we ate this over mashed potatoes and I made garden pea salad for a side.
Last night I cooked a small pork roast in the crock pot with potatoes,onions and carrots.It was good and easy.
Interesting.
I made strawberry shortcake tonight,the cake was OK,I'd rather had a pound cake but this was quick.The strawberries didn't have a great taste and was very firm so I sliced them up,added some strawberry jam,a little sugar and cooked them some then thickened them and they were a lot better.The recipe I used was from Sallysbakingaddiction.
Looks good Len,I love a lot of Chef John recipes.
Today I made a small pot of potato soup and with that we had smoked turkey sandwich.
I enjoyed watching the video Mike.I agree Chocomouse the fantail rolls are easier.
No cooking here tonight,we went to a local restaurant and had beef tips mine was with mushrooms and gravy,husbands was with peppers and onions,we had baked potato and salad to go with it.All good.

We had fried cubed pork,I cooked some dry lima beans with ham chunks,fried corn bread patties like pancakes and with that we had leftover potato salad.
Amazing!
We had chicken tenders,baked sweet potato,creamed corn and a green salad.
Mike the macaroni and cheese was a separate side.
When I worked at Shoney's years ago we had a cabbage beef soup that I loved.It had ground beef,onions ,tomatoes,kidney beans,cabbage and lots of seasonings.
