I like checking out this site and the folks on it. Interesting stuff.Wow. Who would even think of that? Lol. Interesting.
Very cool!!
Thank you, cwcdesign. Yes, weather getting better. I hope we have a Spring this year. Seems to go from winter right into summer. I don't like the hot weather. Mom will sit outside in 90 degrees. Not me!
Thank you, Joan. Kind of a non event anymore. ๐ I refuse to make myself a cake, though!! ๐คฃ
I would say the wealth tax is probably unconstitutional. I don't know about you but we don't have assets in the millions so I'm not worried about it. They're talking about people with 50 million in assets. They should concentrate on closing loopholes. When millionaires and billionaires pay less taxes than the middleclass or no taxes at all there is definitely something wrong.
Yes, it was my 66th! Yikes, how did that happen! Thanks. The lobster was so good and so was the bread. We were too full to eat the cake -- later today. The day started with the power going out at 1:53 am and I turned the generator on at 2 am. Ugh. I wanted the heat to stay on so mom wouldn't get cold. Power back on at 5:30 am. It was really gusty and cold and a tree limb came down somewhere. No drama last night and this morning, thank goodness.
Special occasion so having lobster tail, melted butter, coleslaw. Bread from a new artinisal bakery in town. Then, birthday cake!!!๐
The corned beef came out great after all that aggravation. I may just use the crockpot next year. Made oven roasted potatoes and carrots. Put the cabbage in the pressure cooker for about 15 mins. Mom and hubby said it was really good. I'm over st patty's day! Lol
What a pita making this corned beef in the pressure cooker! I had an old pressure cooker with the rocker on top. When the seal went kaput, I bought an electric pressure cooker last year that I used once. Put the corned beef in and it was taking forever to get up the steam. Then I saw water on the counter so I knew the seal was messed up. Changed the seal and now it's working. Been messing with this for 1.5 hours. Ugh hopefully it'll come out ok.
Corned beef, cabbage, carrots and potatoes in the pressure cooker later today.
Chocomouse, your rolls look wonderful!
Making irish soda bread to go with the corned beef and cabbage today. Happy St. Patrick's day.Lol, BakerAunt. Thanks. Love that imagery, chocomouse!
I was too lazy to bake anything today. I'm ordering a birthday cake for the end of the week which I'm looking forward to!!! Let someone else do the work. ๐๐ -
