Happy Anniversary BakerAunt!
Taco salad tonight.
Brownies were good today a little hard around edge but other ones were still good and fudgey.
I baked a new recipe for brownies. It used brown sugar and was for an 8x8.I liked it but I prefer my brownie a little thicker so I may try adding half more recipe next time.Recipe was from Mennonite Girls Can Cook.
Recipe was Chocolate brownies by Judy.I did add a half cup of mini chocolate chips to the top but didn't add any nuts.I liked them warm I'll see how they are tomorrow. They are fudgey not cakey.I cooked a boneless chicken breast in a pot with BBQ sauce,we had this over rice and left over white acre peas on the side.
We had leftover beef and gravy with mashed potatoes and leftover green butter beans.
Tonight I cooked a small pot of chili and we had this over a hotdog with cheese and onion on top.
My sister was in a rehab nursing home and then was transferred to the nursing home for 100 days.I've been going to see her every week but found out today they are on lockdown no more visitation until further notice due to Covid.
Janiebakes I'm glad ya'll liked the stew over corn bread. One of our favorites.
Len,I like the addition of oats to the brownie mix.I'll give that a try.
Today I fried a boneless chicken breast, macaroni and cheese and white acre peas.
Big hug to you Cwcdesign on the anniversary of your mothers death.
I baked the one layer chocolate cake today and made a chocolate icing.
I baked a sirloin tip roast today, browned it then put in oven for 3 and a half hours with 2 cans of golden mushroom soup and a package of lipton onion soup mix.with that we had rice, sliced tomatoes and green butter beans.I had enough roast and gravy for 4 more meals in the freezer.
I agree Mike the tomatoes are beautiful!
