Tuesday & Wednesday night we had steak and baked potato, tonight we had shrimp from a local restaurant all my husbands choice.

Well our stove top that was put in our home when we built back in 1986 finally quit working and if I could have gotten replacement parts I would have in a heartbeat. So we got a 30 inch radiant heat glass top Whirlpool from Home Depot. My brother in law came last night and put it in and had to patch the front counter where my old one dropped down for the knobs and this one is all on top.Bless his heart it looks wonderful. He filled the gap and dressed it up with strips that he stained and sealed it is a shade lighter but thats because my old wood cabinets has aged.I told him it's fine ,nothing in our home is "perfect" nor do I care for it to be,I like functional .I cooked breakfast on it today and it did fine, sure got lots to learn on the way it heats up fast, my old one took forever and I had gotten down to two eyes and small ones at that..Thankful for a stove top.Thankful for family and praying friends.

I was gifted a gallon of the biggest beautiful blueberries and we've been eating them in cereal and just as a snack so tonight I used some and made a good cobbler basic one cup flour, sugar and milk with a stick of melted butter.I brought the berries to a slow boil with only a little sugar and about an ounce of water then thickened with corn starch and added to the butter and then ladled on top.The topping rises above the berries. It was good and we took half to a neighbor with some ice cream.
