We had salami and tomato sandwiches tonight, it's tomato season!
We had just a little of the zucchini-tomato casserole left, so we heated it and had it with hot dogs. The pairing worked surprisingly well.
Here's a link to the recipe:

The recipe is a bit imprecise, but it worked fairly well. The next time I make it, if I wind up using some of the larger zucchini I'm going to quarter the slices.
Whipping the egg whites and folding in the egg foam should make for a somewhat lighter cake.
Your Berries and Cream cake sounds a lot like a clafoutis.
Dinner tonight will be tuna melts
Another batch of peanut butter cookies is on the list for today.
I've got a myweigh scale I will probably have to replace soon, the control panel is developing a problem. But I've had it for a number of years.
Is that the 'Grilled Asiago Rounds' recipe from KABC? That's been on my to-do list for a while.
I'm making semolina bread today.
We're doing tacos/nachos tonight.
These days I would worry about being exposed to mosquito and tic-borne diseases in your berry patch.
CDC estimates that 450,000 Americans may have Alpha-Gal Syndrome, a reaction to most red meat which is linked to tic bites.
We know two people who essentially had to retire from their professions due to Lyme Disease, another tic-borne illness.
Every time I read something about how farmers get too many subsidies, guarantees and benefits, I think about how often they lose their entire crop. Most of the farmers I know have a major loss of their crop every few years. I wonder how the typical business owner would survive after losing his entire year's income?
I saw a recent article that said cattlemen were making about $5 a head on cattle.
Tonight we had steaks on the grill again, with a tomato and zucchini casserole that I found a recipe for online, using both tomatoes and zucchini from the garden. The casserole was quite good, I was afraid it would be really watery but it wasn't. (I left out the garlic in the recipe, of course.) I'll be curious to see how well it reheats.
Sort of like a ratatouille but without the eggplant and with some cheese and bread crumbs.
We had some of yesterday's zucchini cake for dessert.
I picked about 4 pounds of 4th of July tomatoes today, plus a 1.1 and a 1.4 lb Italian Heirloom and an 8 ounce Celebrity.
My wife has decided that blueberries and zucchini aren't a great pairing, I tend to agree, something clashes.
