This is a little about my husband, picture 9 years ago.
To all our friends and family my husband, friend and love of my life has departed this world to heaven yesterday. That dreaded word Cancer has ravaged his body and mind. He was so ready to fight this disease and live but that wasn't possible. God is in control and I know he has a new body and I'll see him one day God was merciful and didn't let him suffer long. I ask each of you to keep our family in prayers as we adjust our days ahead."Old SS" did it his way and died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
Just touching base with you all, getting weaker and more confused everyday. Our son and his wife came in for a short visit, grandchildren are suppose to fly in next weekend.I'm up a lot so when I can rest I do.Thankful for friends and family for lending a hand or ear.My prayer is for the Lord to take him quickly and not let him suffer. The odd thing is he never complains about pain.He is on some wild and crazy adventures though, last night he wanted a shovel to go digging in Australia and where did that come from???Just now he wanted me to find his military papers and I told him we'd get them tomorrow.Keep us in your prayers, thanks Joan.
Happy Birthday Cass!
We have been through a lot lately.Home health came and said sounded like my husband had fluid on the lungs ,went to hospital found out it wasn't fluid but the mass in the lung makes him sound like a bubbling when he breathes.Did more scans and oncologist said he has CLL lymphoma, lung cancer and brain cancer don't know if brain cancer is same as lung , has it in bone marrow too.To find out about the brain cancer they'd have to do a very invasive biopsy and the doctor said she didn't think he's strong enough to do anything. My husband was really wanting to fight this but it's not gonna happen. They sent him home on Hospice and he's now on oxygen 24/7.His mind isn't right and I've noticed this for a while now. She couldn't tell us how long she said only God knows. So for my praying friends keep Sonny and me in your prayers. We gonna need them.our hearts is broken but I know our awesome God is still on the throne.
We had steak and potato.
I had leftover spaghetti and meat sauce from the freezer and garlic toast, my husband had filled up on ice cream and wasn't hungry yet.
We had a chargrilled chicken breast, leftover rice and I cooked a small pot of dry baby lima beans and I had a piece of leftover corn bread.
We had the last of the leftover soup and pimento cheese sandwiches.
We had chargrilled chicken breast and macaroni and cheese.
Leftovers of beef roast & gravy over rice, white acre peas with boiled okra, cucumbers & vinegar & oil, and blueberry ice cream.
We had steak and baked potato with our brother & sister and I made 2 churns of ice cream for the freezer vanilla and blueberry. So we are full ❤
We got the last MRI today and got a call this afternoon that we'll not get the results tomorrow as planned will call us sometime next week.My husband is disappointed to say the least.
