Today I baked KA Classic White Sandwich Bread.I used potato water from boiled potatoes that I had saved from a couple days ago and used one cup of whole wheat in place of all white flour.It was so good and the crumb was nice.The recipe says to tent after 20 min. I never do this and it's just right in color.The bread held up well when I turned it out not squishing at all.I had some tonight with supper and was very happy!That'll be mine for the next few days.
BA I never use more than a tsp.of vanilla in most things unless I'm making vanilla ice cream and use 1 Tbsp.

When I was separating 3 eggs yesterday for the banana pudding one of the yolks dripped in the egg whites.So knowing they surely won't beat up for meringue I put all them in the fridge and started over with the eggs.All was well,that's why I baked cinnamon rolls today ,used them 3 eggs,recipe calls for two but three was fine.
Today we had the rest of the smoked chicken to reheat I put it in a steamer boiler and heated it on low,it was almost as good as it was Saturday,we had shoe peg corn and rest of baked beans.Now time for coffee and a cinnamon roll.
Tonight I made hamburger steaks with onions,baked potatoes and salad.I saw a recipe today on one of my cooking sites that said to make your hamburger patties and flour them,then fry till browned on each side,then I added the sliced onions with a cup of beef stock and a pat of butter.In my patties I mixed salt,pepper,worcestershire sauce with a little milk and the patties stayed very moist.The gravy cooked down to a nice sauce.I was pleased.
The scalloped potatoes sounds good BakerAunt.My aunt use to make a ham and potato casserole that was so good.I think I'll try your recipe one day!
