I baked the Vienna bread today only half the recipe.It was very good it was about 3-1/2 inches high but had a good crumb.I like bread soft so when it was just out of the oven I brushed it with butter.I was wondering if I could taste the vinegar but didn't.It slices well too.

Tonight we had baked ham,rice,black eyed peas and very finely shredded cabbage with vinegar that we put over our peas and rice.

Today I baked The Lil Chocolate cake from Just a pinch by Cassie.It's so good and easy to prepare only one bowl and a whisk is all you need,I always change up the recipe by subbing hot black coffee for the hot water.This cake only makes one 8 inch layer and it's just right for my husband and I.Very thin batter but cooks up very good.I frosted it with chocolate butter cream icing.

BakerAunt we love pimento cheese that is homemade as it tastes so much better than store bought.Yep,one of our favorites and glad it made you think of your Mom.

Tonight we had baked ham,turnips,potato salad and corn bread.I also made a pistachio pudding dessert some people call Watergate salad but with no extra nuts,just cool whip,pistachio pudding dry,mini marshmallows and crushed pineapple.

We had fried chicken,green beans cooked with potatoes cut up in them and seasoned with bacon,creamed corn and carrot salad with raisins and crushed pineapple.
