      NANA'S VIENNA CRESCENTS

      1/2 cu coarsely chopped almonds
      1 3/4 cup flour
      1/3 cup sugar
      7/8 cup butter

      Preheat oven to 325.

      Sift flour an sugar together. Add almonds

      Work butter into flour mixture

      Work into long logs about 1/2 inch in diameter. Chill.

      When ready to bake, cut off about 1 inch lengths and form into crescents on an insulated cookie sheet sprayed with non stick spray.

      Bake util tips begin to turn golden yellow, about 25 min. Do not overbake.

      Cool slightly and dust with confectioners sugar.

      Makes about 2 doz. Very delicate, handle gently.
