      1/2 cup butter
1 3 oz pkg soft cream cheese
      1 cup AP flour
your favorite preserves- we use apricot jam
      1 egg yolk
      2 Tbsp milk
      1/4 cup finely chopped nuts
      confectioners sugar

Cream butter and cheese until light. Stir in flour, mixing well. Refrigerate one hour.

      Preheat oven to 400F.

On a lightly floured surface, roll dough out into a 12 inch square. With sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut dough into 2 inch squares.

Place about 1/4 tsp jam near center of each square. fold dough over to form a triangle, press edges to seal.

Brush top of each triangle with mixture of beaten egg and milk. sprinkle with nuts.

Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden. sprinkle with conf. sugar and cool on wire rack.

      Makes 3 dozen.
