I made a mug cake, a one serving cake that you microwave in a mug or cup. I used a Pyrex measuring cup. Not bad but not great. But easy. Not sure that I'll do it again.

I made a small pork loin roast, had it with noodles.

I didn't know what the term was so I Wiki it. It's more than just a method of serving, the fish is harvested and dispatched in a way that is supposed to keep it fresh longer. While it is interesting, I am not interested!

I roasted a salmon filet and had it with whipped sweet potato and Brussels Sprouts and carrots.

I made Lemon Blueberry Oat Muffins from the Quaker Oats site yesterday. I cut the sugar in half. For the topping I used 1/4 cup of loose pack brown sugar, not sure how that equates to the 2 tsp of firmly packed brown sugar the recipe calls for. I also used one whole egg instead of two egg whites as I only had a couple of eggs left in the carton. I made them in my KA mini cake pan that I use for my sandwich/burger buns. I also used buttermilk as I had a cup left in the bottle with a fast approaching best by date.

These muffins don't rise much at all as they contain more oats than flour. They came out pretty good, I like the way they taste and the texture. They have a nice crispy sugar topping that makes me forget the muffins themselves only had half sugar. They're not what I would call pretty, but I'll make them again.

That's interesting about an oven causing a house fire. I wonder if it malfunctioned. A lot of newer ovens have a kosher setting or a delay start to solve the issue. There is a well known camera store in NY that even closes down its online order taking during the Sabbath.

I got it but it was a lucky guess.

I knew it because I've seen tv programs about it.

S Wirth, insurance companies tend to give their lowest rates to new customers while raising rates on their loyal customers. It may pay to shop around.

Yes, I had heard that about marijuana too. It's one of those things that leaves its telltale mark on a person for a long time. Many other drugs, on the other hand, metabolize very fast and do not leave any markers. I had read that many heroin od deaths may go misdiagnosed because of that.

People who have jobs that require drug testing have to be very careful in states that have legalized marijuana use. They could be at a gathering where someone lights up and even though they don't partake, it might leave it's mark on them.

On a related subject, Illinois has recently legalized it, there was a story in the news yesterday of a group of girl scouts who set up their girl scout cookie table outside one of the dispensaries in Chicago, business was booming!

I thought I knew the answer just by looking at the choices and pulled out the calculator and confirmed it.
