No cooking tonight all leftovers used up...Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, rice & tomato gravy and lima beans.My husband wasn't so happy but I'm not wasting nothing.

Your Cuban bread sounds good Italiancook,I've never tried to bake that bread.
Tonight I baked a small peach cobbler from fresh peaches I had in the freezer.I halved the recipe and baked it in a 1 &1/2 qt.dish we had it warm with vanilla ice cream yummy.

February 13, 2022 at 10:19 pm in reply to: What are you Baking the Week of February 13, 2022? #33144Chocomouse I'm sorry yours didn't turn out mine were very good and fudgy.I went by recipe and the cream cheese batter was thick that I pushed it off the spoon with my finger,brownie batter was thick but not dry.I melted the butter in saucepan and put the sugar in it while hot as the recipe stated.I ate one of the brownies 2 days later and it was still moist. I had wrapped it in saran wrap.I used an 8x8 pan as stated.M sister in law told me the next day how she liked them and how fudgy they were that's why I wanted to share this recipe,dang it.

I made some Old Fashioned Fudge last night that turned out good,I didn't think my thermometer would ever come up to 238* then a lot of stirring but was worth it .My husband was a happy camper.

Which reminds me when we bought groceries Friday I picked up a pound of Oscar Mayer thick beef bologna and it was more than the small fryer Bologna-$7.19 fryer-$6.83 damn.

I made a pot of hamburger soup using 9 oz.of hamburger,one onion,one can of Vegetable Blend,one can of tomatoes and two potatoes,browned the meat and onions added rest of everything and threw in a handful of cut okra with salt,pepper and 2 beef bouillon .Simmered three hours and we had soup and more pimento cheese sandwiches.It's cool here but nothing like many of you have.

I cooked some stew beef and gravy,mashed potatoes and creamed corn.
