Tonight we had fried cubed pork, leftover rice and garden peas and carrots and fresh candied sweet potatoes.
We had BBQ chicken with BBQ gravy to go over rice and we had garden pea salad to go with it.

The best cantaloupes I've had are the Athenas.
I made my husband hamburger steak and fries, I had leftover sloppy Joe on bread and fries..
I used half of the hamburger to make a small pot of chili for later on maybe tomorrow. My husband isn't crazy about chili unless it's cold outside so it might be mine if so I'll freeze it in small containers for the freezer.

My pumpkin pie turned out well,good flavor , no cracking and my pie crust was crispy and flaky on the bottom...win win.
I had a little leftover filling so I filled 2 custard cups and baked them along with the pie.

BakerAunt I never liked beets growing up but as an adult I loved them.My mom use to make them a lot and when she'd open a can I'd say they smelled like dirt.I like to keep some in the fridge.I've never roasted any fresh ones only boiled them.
BakerAunt the beets were from a can but I cook them with sugar and vinegar.I haven't had fresh beets in a long time.
