Tonight made fried chicken that had been soaked in buttermilk,baked sweet potatoes and green butter beans.Buttermilk sure adds good crunch to the crust on the chicken.
I use real onions and a lot of onion powder also,Dollar General brand works for me!I really like it in my tuna salad too!Add it to most dishes that use onion.

I cooked dry lima beans,potato salad,ham and corn bread for supper.

Baked a Cold Oven Pound cake with cream cheese tonight my sister's favorite so we'll cut it tomorrow.

Baked the little chocolate cake last night and frosted with buttercream icing,only one layer so it won't last long.My sister is coming to stay a few days with me and am looking forward to that.
Made a pot of Lima bean soup with left overs,was so good.We're just starting to get some cooler weather and it's so much better when it's cooler.In the mid 40's this morning.
BevM I've made this before and made it in 2-8" cake pans -didn't add raisins,nuts or chips and we loved it.It was very moist and kept well for several days.I iced it with my own cream cheese icing recipe,was a very good cake.
Baked a pie crust and made some chocolate pudding pie.
I like to soak my chicken strips which I've cut from boneless breasts in buttermilk for a couple hours also.I just use seasoned flour to coat chicken and fry in pan with like a inch of oil.I also like to add a dash of hot sauce and salt and pepper to buttermilk soak.
We had stewed beef-n-gravy on top of left over rice and lettuce and tomato salad stirred up with mayonnaise.
Dry lima beans,rice and tomatoes and sausage.
