Tonight we had taco salad and I rolled mine up in a tortilla like a burrito.

Tonight we had fried cubed steak,thickened potatoes and green beans.
My husband had bacon and scrambled egg and I had chili.
Cleaning out left overs and made lima bean soup it was good and all gone now.
Today I fried some bacon,rice and tomato gravy and creamed corn.
October 4, 2019 at 4:11 pm in reply to: No quiz for Friday and probably not for next day or two #18547Oh no Mike,sorry for your hospital stay,I hear them kidney stones are some kind of pain.Hope you get to feeling better and no more stones.Now to make you laugh a little my husbands Granddaddy went to the doctor for what he found out was kidney stones this is in the 1960's country doctor told him he had a stone and it was in his urinary tube and he was going to have to crush it..his Granddaddy said with what doc....all he could imagine was a big hammer crushing it lol.Get to feeling better my friend!
I cut my chicken breast right down the middle I've never done it the way he shows us,I can cut the breast so you'll have a pulley bone but usually I don't do it that way.I enjoyed watching this too.I cut the wings out .When my mom fried chicken she fried it all and I mean all she broke the back into two pieces,fried neck,heart,liver,and gizzard all but the tail.She always said the back was her favorite piece.When she'd be at my home I'd always keep the back for stock and Mama would say fry that back that was always my favorite piece and I said only because you couldn't get a good piece as she came from a family of seven and always had a lot kin folk around growing up.

Today I made a meatloaf,sour cream mashed potatoes,cooked a carrot and added to left over garden peas and heated up left over cabbage.
I can do it the way my mom taught me but I've never cut the ends of the legs off and he makes it look so easy.I do hold it up the way he does but I cut the breast different.I enjoyed watching this,thanks Mike.
Got it.I remember this from a thread about apples before!
Tonight we had bacon,lima beans,rice and tomato gravy with some chopped onion that was soaked in vinegar to put on top of lima beans.

Today I made cinnamon roll dough and used that to make a danish with cream cheese filling and topped with some grated apple that I sweetened and cooked for a few minutes.I made them sort of like the size of a small honey bun after they were baked I drizzled them with powdered sugar glaze.They were real pretty but a little to bready for me,just trying something I wanted to try.Shared with my sister in law and she loved them.
