Since rottiedogs couldn't find it, would you please post the recipe for the Semolina Rolls, BakerAunt.
August 16, 2020 at 5:26 pm #26194On Friday, I backed a loaf of my version of Harvest Grains bread - I must not have been paying enough attention to my ingredients (I was sort of rushing) and it came out a little denser - it was still very good and Will's already eaten about half of it.
August 16, 2020 at 6:22 pm #26197Rottiedogs--If you edited your posts, and did not uncheck the "keep a copy of" box that automatically checks itself, the spam filter gets confused and will throw the post into the spam file. I learned that after having several posts go astray. Perhaps Mike can check to see if it is there.
Meanwhile, I have gone ahead and posted Semolina Rolls in the recipe section, with my comments on the recipe. Italian Cook's original question has reminded me just how much I love these rolls, so I will be baking them when soup season is upon us again. They also make excellent dinner rolls.
August 16, 2020 at 7:20 pm #26184So I am 2 for 2 in locating recipes. I found the No Knead Semolina Bread and the Semolina Rolls on the wayback. Links are posted below. I had the No Knead recipe saved but not the rolls so it was a good find. I saved the Semolina Rolls recipe to my stash on my computer for safekeeping. I probably cut it off the bag but I didn't check that stash yet. I need to try the rolls soon!
August 16, 2020 at 7:20 pm #26185Not sure what happened to my original post so here it goes again. I was able to find both recipes on the wayback. Links below. I had the No Knead recipe already saved in my computer stash and added the rolls recipe just in case. I probably cut it off the bag but I have not checked that stash yet. One day I will scan them all in so they are on the computer! I need to try the rolls recipe soon.
August 16, 2020 at 7:32 pm #26204They were in pending posts, I'm not sure how you do that.
August 16, 2020 at 7:54 pm #26205On Wednesday morning which was reasonably cool I did a double recipe of pumpkin cranberry quick bread, baked in a 9x13 pan which took about half an hour to cook. I thought that it would bake in 20 minutes since it is relatively thin but it needed the extra time. I also did a cheese pizza, my regular recipe to go with a slightly too hot vegetable chickpea chili. Calling it a chili is a far stretch but it does call for a tablespoon of chili powder. The other ingredients are chickpeas, onions, eggplant, sweet red pepper, and tomatoes. It had a chipolte pepper and garlic for seasoning but there were so many other ingredients and all of them fairly bland that I used one tablespoon of smoked paprika as well as 1 tablespoon of Americano chili. That was just a little too spicy.
Blueberries were on sale this week so there are blueberry scones in my future. Possibly blueberry zucchini bread too.August 17, 2020 at 2:43 pm #26214rottiedogs, thanks for your perseverance in locating and posting these links!
