I just finished posting the rest of dvdlee's recipes. We are getting close to 1800 recipes.
July 26, 2016 at 7:01 am #3751Just finished posting recipes from cowgirl, chiara, cooksgirl, danator02 and elmojabr. The recipe count is climbing!
Mike - could you run an updated list when you get a few minutes? Thanks!
July 26, 2016 at 9:24 am #3752I'll try to get an updated list posted soon, but I've got a major project going live early tomorrow morning so it might not happen today. We're over 1800 recipes now.
July 28, 2016 at 7:33 am #3882I've got hickeyja and janiebakes all posted plus a handful of others. I just topped 1900 recipes this morning!
July 28, 2016 at 7:38 am #3883Rottiedogs, you are amazing! Thanks for all your efforts on our behalf.
I have one of the threads I saved and edited. That includes reversing the comments so the oldest is first. I also deleted duplicate comments and got rid of the extraneous KAF headings. Do I just copy and paste it into a new thread?
July 28, 2016 at 7:41 am #3884cwcdesign: Once you paste it in, you may need to edit it a bit for spacing. I usually do an edit before I paste, then an edit after it is pasted before I hit submit. In addition to deleting double posts, I also try to fix spelling, since we were without the edit button at KAF for a long time.
I'm going to wait until Mike has time to run a report before I post any other recipes. As we close in on 2000, I'm getting confused about what was posted and what was not. I thought that I had done janiebakes, but maybe not?
There are also doubles on some of Annabella's recipes, since I posted them without the pictures before Rottiedogs worked out how to include them. While not all of her recipes had pictures, a lot of them did.
I am getting close to the end of any threads I saved, but I need to look over what is there and see if I have some additional ones.
This site is feeling like home, since we were able to bring along some of the "furniture" from the BC. And the new "furniture" and layout are great. Thanks to everyone for the work!

July 28, 2016 at 9:13 am #3886I'm glad I'm able to help out. The thought of all this knowledge just disappearing into the vacuum was a huge motivator to save as much as possible. I still have a long way to go with posting. I've got a ton of threads I haven't even looked at yet since I've been mostly posting recipes.
Bakeraunt - I search for the name of the original poster before I add anything. There were only a few for janiebakes so I went ahead and posted the rest of them. I don't think I duplicated the ones already here. At least I tried not to.
So here's a question. I have the FAQ's all saved. Where should they be posted? They aren't really threads and they aren't recipes so I wasn't sure where to put them.
July 28, 2016 at 10:45 am #3887As I understand the history on the FAQ entries, they were originally a compilation of threads from the original BC, so putting them in the 'threads' category seems reasonable to me.
I'll see if I can get an updated list of recipes posted by original author later today.

July 29, 2016 at 7:19 am #3900Thanks for the updated listing Mike. I missed a few of brianjwood's recipes. All are now posted. I also missed 1 of dvdlee's. I got that posted this morning too.
August 10, 2016 at 6:31 am #4070We now have 2000 recipes posted. I just added an assortment plus all of kittykat3308. Started on lsb but I'm pretty sure I don't have all of them. I know Nina (frick) saved them all so if you want to email them to me I will post all. I still have quite a few left to post.
August 17, 2016 at 6:59 am #4226I finished lsb, mangochutney, martibeth, meghildreth and used2bmoomie recipes this morning. Still have a ways to go with recipes but we are getting there!
August 17, 2016 at 8:46 am #4227Wonderful work, Rottiedogs. I've posted all the recipes that I have. I need to look over the threads again, and see if I have any more.
August 17, 2016 at 9:17 am #4228Yes, great work. I'm seeing some slight uptick in the daily page views and user counts, which may mean my efforts to get us in the search engines are slowly working, but we need more people making posts about food/baking or uploading new recipes. (I've been remiss in writing blog posts lately, myself.)
August 17, 2016 at 12:32 pm #4229Now I just have to remember what new recipes I uploaded....
