February 11, 2022 at 10:12 pm in reply to: What are you Cooking the Week of February 6, 2022? #33125Thursday was my husbands 71st Birthday and we went to Texas Road House, that's what he wanted and today we had hamburger steaks with fries. It was grocery shopping today and we found everything we wanted but Rice Krispies.
I cooked some stew beef and gravy, mashed potatoes and creamed corn.
I took ham from the freezer with that we had steamed cabbage and macaroni and tomatoes.
We had one of our favorites and easy...Taco Salad.
I fried pork chops and the rest was leftovers of stewed squash, potato salad and field peas with snaps.Good and all leftovers are gone except for cole slaw.
Mike I hope you continue to feel OK.
Tonight was eat what you can find in the fridge.I had taco meat heated with taco sauce made into a sloppy Joe and baked beans ,my husband had BBQ sandwich and canned soup.
Tonight it was leftover hamburger vegetable soup and pimento cheese sandwiches.
Today I took some pulled pork from the freezer and made BBQ and with that we had baked beans and I made fresh coleslaw.
Mike I've not tried the upside down baking of the crust,I'll keep that in mind next time.
Thanks Chocomouse I'll be trying these.
Blueberry rolls sounds so good.
Chocomouse it must be potato salad day cause that's what we had too with fried chicken and peas with snaps.
We had some more of the hamburger vegetable soup and pimento cheese sandwiches and will have some of the coconut cream pie I made last night.I was happy this morning when I cut a piece and it held it's shape and wasn't runny. That was my breakfast...pie topped with whip cream and coffee.
Last night I took a pie crust from freezer and made a fresh coconut cream pie the pie was good but my blind baking a crust not so much ,mine slid a little but the pie this morning was really good.
