Mike my son is a great smoker of meats and he told me if your smoke chips burn out not to worry all your flavor of the smoke wood will be in the first 30 min to an hour, no need to add more smoke wood.
I love anything smoked. Sounds like you'll be enjoying some brisket soon!
We had Stew beef with carrots, potatoes and onion over corn bread.
Spaghetti and meat sauce with garlic toast.
I had some apples I had cooked to keep from throwing them away, added some sugar, butter and cinnamon. They weren't getting ate so I had one pie crust in freezer I cut that in fourths and made 4 apple turnovers, rolled the dough saucer size dolloped on apples then folded over and crimped edges with a fork, brushed with milk and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon-baked at 375 for 25 minutes and they are really good and was easy too.I had one when they cooled will have another tonight.
We had fried cubed pork, rice and tomato gravy and dry lima beans.
I cooked a chicken beast with onions and mushrooms, baked sweet potato and green beans.
We had taco salad tonight.
We're lucky about 2 miles down the road from us friends have opened up a nice vegetable stand and we've been enjoying good tomatoes, peas, watermelon and squash etc.
Glad you're enjoying the grill Mike! It's extremely hot here so no grilling now.
Tonight we had sausage, onion and peppers with some canned diced tomatoes over rice and leftover butter beans on the side.
I fried a chicken breast which we halved ,fresh pink eye peas and potato salad, more cucumber salad leftover from yesterday.
We had baked chicken, fresh butter beans, candied sweet potatoes and a cucumber-tomato-onion salad with a vinegar & oil dressing.
Len, your supper sounds good too.
Tonight we had hamburger steaks with sauteed onions and gravy.I browned the hamburgers with onions and cooked till almost done, took hamburgers up made a flour gravy put them back in and in the oven for a few minutes till I finished the mashed poataoes and green beans.
Mike it looks good,I've never had it.
For the Mexican casserole I scrambled hamburger with onions, seasoned with salt and pepper, heated some picante sauce with half enchilada sauce and a few jalapenos then layered corn tortillas cut in quarters,a layer of hamburger, layer cheese and sauce .I repeat this 3 times topped with cheese and bake at 350* 20-25 minutes and we like it topped with a big dollop of sour cream. You could add beans and corn but I don't..We love Mexican food and love it hot and spicy. If I have any of this left I'll put it on a flour tortilla and roll up,so good.
Chocomouse our food sounds about the same .
We had a Mexican casserole today with bread and butter.
Mike you can see all the layers good.
