I made the Amish bread but added the 7 grain cereal like one half cup and used one and half cups of white and one and half cups wheat flour, used buttermilk in place of water.I had to add extra buttermilk it was way too dry.I didn't soak the cereal before and when baked I could see little white pieces of the oatmeal,it was heavy but had a good taste for toast so I'll keep trying.
Yesterday I made Taco burgers and home fries and today I made Baked pork tenderloin, rice & gravy with green butter beans.

BakerAunt glad you're home and baking again.Let us know how the buttermilk is in the Vienna bread.I've made it a time or two and like it also.I'm thinking of replacing buttermilk for the whole milk to the next batch of cinnamon rolls.

Sunday I cooked fried chicken, rice and gravy and dry lima beans and made a no bake Peanut Butter pie was very good and light.I didn't have a graham cracker crust but had graham crackers so I made my crust and put in 9x13 dish. The recipe said it made two pies but I did only 1 dish so good tastes like eating a candy bar or a nutty buddy ice cream.

I made an Apple Crisp Wednesday and it was good but a tad sweet to me,we had it with vanilla ice cream while it was warm. The topping was only flour, brown and white sugar and a stick of butter crumbled up and spread on top.My sister had a birthday today and her favorite cake is pound cake,so I made the Cream Cheese Cold Oven pound cake it was really good and so moist, that's my favorite too.
Cwcdesign zipper peas are just a small green field pea that is real easy to shell that's why they call them zipper peas and one of my favorites.Cooking some pink eye peas tonight with meatloaf and macaroni and cheese.Cleaned out the fridge yesterday and creamed 3 ears of corn, diced up some fresh tomatoes cooked with the corn then when that was done I added leftover speckled butter beans and zipper peas with okra let that cook slow and we had a good hearty small pot of thick vegetable soup.Bakeraunt that would be wonderful if we could do a taste test over the net π I enjoy reading every ones posts here too!
