I was originally planning steaks on the grill for tonight, but there's been a storm trying to move in since mid-afternoon, though all we've gotten so far is a series of sprinkles.
So we did tacos/nachos inside.
We had leftover pasta and some more of the Green Bean salad for dinner tonight. We took my bonus daughter and boyfriend to the airport--a 6-hour round trip for us with traffic, and a train that stopped across the tracks when we were not far from home. I wish that a company would re-establish bus service to and from Midway from Michigan City or another mid-sized city that is closer. Finishing the double tracking of the South Shore Line, would also help.
I made a patty melt and had a side of kale.
We had marinated and pan grilled sirloin steak with roasted potatoes and corn and tomato salad with basil and feta.
Yesterday I went to my friends home for wings and fries.Today I'm having a ham and tomato sandwich with a peach.
Tonight we had the steaks I was originally planning for yesterday, with baked potato and sauteed mushrooms.
We had leftover pizza and bean salad.
Now that the leftovers are gone, on Tuesday, I used some cooked black-eyed peas from the freezer and combined them with sauteed celery and yellow bell pepper, some ham, and cooked farro, along with some dehydrated onion, thyme, and freshly ground black pepper. We had it with the rest of some leftover applesauce.
I also made yogurt today.
I had stewed squash and a hotdog.
We went out for seafood dinners.
Repeat of squash and hotdog with a pear and a peach.
Our Wednesday dinner was also a repeat of Tuesday's black-eyed peas, farro, and ham.
I made mac and cheese for dinner.
Tonight was dine out to help out (the food bank), so we did takeout.
