We had a lot of thunder overnight but not much rain, maybe 1/10 of an inch. Still calling for a high of 96 here today, with more rain possible later on.
We had a lot of lightening late Monday evening and into this morning, along with 2.36 inches of rain. It has been a long time since we had this much from storms.
I agree Joan - the heat and humidity is awful. We get some rain in the mornings right now, not the torrential tidal rains we had two weeks ago.
It looks like Erin is going to be far enough offshore from us that we'll probably get some winds and riptides. Not like the Outer Banks which are evacuating. I hope it's not too bad for them.
