Milky Way Cake

8 large Milky Way bars
1 stick butter
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup pecans
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/4 cup buttermilk

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Grease and flour a tube pan.

Melt Milky Way bars and butter in a double boiler.

Mix together remaining ingredients, then add the Milky Way mixture and beat until thoroughly combined.

Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
