I was at a restaurant this evening and one of the local beers said that it was 'infusted' with something.

I can't find that cooking term defined online, but I do find a few places where it is used.

Has anyone run across that term before?

Maybe they meant "infested", lol. I've never seen that term before.

Surely this has to be a typo for infused. Or, people don't know that the word is infused, not infusted. Or, as often happens with the English language, enough people have used infusted that it has become a new word. I Googled for the definition of infused and was directed to infused.

The more I think about it, the more I think it could be infested, as in it got infested with microbes that made it turn sour. Sours are kinda popular.
