      French Dressing

      1 cup sugar
      1 cup oil
      1 cup catsup
      1/2 cup cider vinegar
      1 T. dried onion flakes
      1 T. fresh lemon juice
      1/2 tsp. nutmeg
      1/4 tsp. paprika
      1/4 tsp. pepper

      Mix all the ingredients together; bring to a full boil, stirring until all the sugar is mixed in.
      Cool and refrigerate.

      Note: honey may be substituted for the sugar.
