Bread dough attracts slugs

Bread dough apparently works better to attract slugs than slug bait.

I wonder if 'dead dough' would work too? It's used for shaping practice, but only lasts about a week or two in the fridge. It has more salt and just a pinch of yeast in it.

We always used dishes of beer to attract the slugs, so bread dough makes sense.
