      DESCRIPTION
      White Chocolate Brownies

      SUMMARY
Yield 0 File under Cookies Brownies Bars

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1/3 c. margarine
8 oz. white chocolate; chopped, divided
      2 large eggs
      2/3 c. sugar
      1 c. all-purpose flour
      1/2 tsp. baking powder
      1/4 tsp. salt
      1 tblsp. vanilla extract
1/4 c. sliced almonds or macadamias

Melt margarine on low heat with 4 oz. of the white chocolate. Remove from heat.

Beat eggs on medium with mixer until thickened and pale. Gradually add sugar, beating well.

Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

Add flour to egg mixture, mixing until blended.Add the nuts into the batter here if you'd prefer to have them in the brownies rather than on top.

Stir in melted chocolate/margarine and vanilla extract.

Spoon into greased 8" square pan. Sprinkle with almonds.

Bake at 350 degrees for 32-35 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.

~~This recipe may be doubled, in fact I'd recommend it. It's worth it.
