I had no idea and missed it. But I can you this, it packs a whole lot of good taste!
I missed it. Now I have BLTs on my mind. If the garden gives us tomatoes this year, I may try to sneak in a couple of BLTs.
I thought bacon was only fat and sodium. I had no idea it has protein value, so I missed this.
I missed this. I knew bacon should have some protein but had no idea of how much.
I got it,but it was a lucky guess.
I guessed too but I was wrong. I figured it was all fat with very little protein
According to the source I used (verywellfit.com), 3 slices of bacon has 12 grams of protein and also 12 grams of fat. I think that's because a lot of the fat melts into the pan.
Could there be some protein in the fat?
So, the next question is how much fat is still in the bacon after it has been cooked, and the fat blotted with a paper towel.
I think that site considers the bacon after it has been cooked and drained. I know five slices of bacon leaves quite a bit of fat in the pan, perhaps a couple tablespoons.
