Spritz Cookies

1 cup butter or maragrine, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream butter & sugar together well. Beat in eggs 1 at a time. Add vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Force cookie dough thru cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheets. Decorate with small colored sugar beads, if desired. Bake in 400 degree oven for 10-12 min. until edges begin to brown. makes 6-7 dozen.
