I too don't like that my stove's clock doesn't have a battery backup. I reset mine after a power outage because the blinking clock get annoying after a while, and I use the delayed start sometimes.
My oven has a convection feature. I only used it once but whatever I was baking didn't turn out as expected so I never used it again. I don't even remember what I was baking, only that it didn't turn out right.

Italiancook,
Sorry I can't help with your danceable cookie recipe request. I don't venture into cookie making land often enough to know what is and isn't dunkable!
RiversideLen,
Those coconut oatmeal cookies sound good. My sister came over and baked my mom's anise cookies at Christmas time. The recipe uses lard and she left the remaining lard with me. I've been wondering what to do with it so I might try your cookies.
They now say lard is healthier for you than shortening. Reminds me of the Woody Allen movie Sleeper:
Dr. Melik: This morning for breakfast he requested something called "wheat germ, organic honey and tiger's milk."
Dr. Aragon: [chuckling] Oh, yes. Those are the charmed substances that some years ago were thought to contain life-preserving properties.
Dr. Melik: You mean there was no deep fat? No steak or cream pies or... hot fudge?
Dr. Aragon: Those were thought to be unhealthy... precisely the opposite of what we now know to be true.
Dr. Melik: Incredible.Bronx
The oranges on my tree in the back yard are beginning to ripen so I'm going to make some orange bread this weekend.
While the oven is hot I might as well make a loaf of peanut bread too. A lot of people don't care for it but I like it. I'll have to risk using my recalled Cuisinart food processor blade to chop up the peanuts, though. Too lazy to chop them by hand.

AP
Whole wheat
Rye
Light peanut
Dark peanutI use the peanut flour to make my own faux peanut butter. It has about 1/4 the calories of regular peanut butter and I use Stevia so it's sugar free. OK, it doesn't taste like real peanut butter but is close enough to satisfy me.
Edited to add: Oh wait, I didn't think vital wheat gluten or corn starch counted so that makes 7 for me. 8 if you consider corn meal to be flour (which I don't, it's too coarse).

It has been about 6 weeks for me and still haven't received the replacement blade yet. I was able to download the recipe book on Wednesday, so if you have had trouble getting the link to work keep trying. Cuisinart probably sent the email en masse and too many people were trying to download it initially.
Thanks for all your welcome posts, it is appreciated.

I was a longtime lurker at the KAF forum but was never a registered user. My cooking skills are such that I never thought I had much if anything to contribute.
After reading this thread I had to register to thank you for posting it. I have one of the recalled Cuisinart blades and wouldn't have known about the recall otherwise.
I had no problem getting to the recall form. If anyone else had problems try again.
