I made tostadas, rice, broccoli and carrot.
I had a baked potato and a salami sandwich.
We will have more of the black-eyed peas, mixed brown and wild rice, and ham that I made yesterday. Dinner that needs just warming up let me have a lot of baking time today!
Well, today is my 75th birthday, so I had a nice dinner: Porterhouse steak (shared with Diane), a small baked potato, sauteed mushrooms, steamed broccoli and a couple of the chocolate chip cookies (see baking topic post.) And with all that, I still stayed under both my carbs and calories goals for the day.
Happy Birthday, Mike🥳 It sounds like a lovely dinner!
Happy Birthday Mike , your supper sounds wonderful!
Happy Birthday Mike!
Happy Birthday, Mike!
Happy Birthday, Mike! What a great birthday dinner choice!
I had a salami sandwich and an ear of corn.
Temperatures were in the upper 80s today, so I had no desire to turn on the oven. Our Thursday night meal was more of the black-eyed peas, rice, and ham, which we heat in the microwave, and an ear of sweet corn each. Our favorite growers just announced that there last planting is ready, so we drove there and picked up another dozen ears.
I also made a small batch of tomato sauce (2 cups) from about 6 cups of tomatoes.
I made another batch of tomato sauce/marinara tonight, that makes about 35 pounds of tomatoes I've turned into sauce this season.
Dinner tonight is salami and cantaloupe, I may also have some salad and possibly a tomato since I picked some nice big ones today that didn't go in the stockpot for sauce.
I made some taco with a rotisserie chicken, corn on the cob and a boiled potato.
Happy Birthday, Mike.
I made another pizza tonight, on my new stainless steel 12 inch pizza pan. I think the dough needed a few more minutes in the oven, but it was tasty. I might have to play with the oven temperature/baking time.
