Prime rib roast for my husband. Mom's not fond of it and I could take it or leave it. Corn, baked potato, mushrooms, gravy and a slice of the bread I made yesterday. Shorty will be happy, too. Lol
Will is making his sourdough pizza crust today for pizza night tomorrow
I roasted a chicken for dinner on Sunday. I also roasted peeled, cut-up sweet potatoes, and we had microwaved frozen peas.
Shorty is a cutie, Kimbob. Our dog, Annie, has been guarding the oven since I put in the chicken, helping my husband as he carves it, and will be eating more once we sit down. She is also fond of sweet potatoes.
Take out Taco's from a local Mexican restaurant.
Lol, BakerAunt. I can just picture it. Shorty laid down by the dining room table waiting for the roast to be done. He got his share in the kitchen as I'm sure Annie did.
I'm planning to rebuild a rye starter again, I may try using that on my Roman/semolina crust with an overnight retarded ferment.
Tonight's pizza was really good with a thin but crisp crust. I put some ham on half of it, it was good but probably not something I'd do very often.
Today was my birthday # 66.Thank you Jesus for another year.
I made a pork roast in my enamel baker with carrots, onions and potatoes.Good and easy slow roasted all afternoon and have plenty for BBQ sandwiches later.
No birthday cake but I cooked the lemon cobbler and it was Ok for a quick dessert.
Happy Birthday, Joan!
