Margie’s Butter Cookies

DESCRIPTION
Spritz Cookies

SUMMARY
Yield 36 cookies File under Christmas, cookies, holiday, party

INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt

INSTRUCTIONS
350 degree oven

Cream the butter until light and fluffy. Sift in the confectioners sugar, beat well. Sift dry ingredients into mixture and mix thoroughly. Chill dough and force through a cookie spritzer or roll out the dough and use cookie cutters. If the dough starts to get to soft, refrigerate it until it firms up again. This dough can be tinted any color you wish. I don't have a time for when they are done. I haven't made these lately as I have been seriously ill. I think they took about 8-10 minutes to cook. The best thing to due is make one or two test cookies and time them, these should not brown but should look set.
