INSTRUCTIONS
One of the easiest, and my favorite pie. From the Better Homes and Gardens Five Seasons Cranberry Book, the original had 1/3 cup grated sharp process cheese in the crumb topping, but I never tried that.
2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
2 cups sliced tart apples
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons quick cooking tapioca
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1 pie crust, unbaked 9"
1 cup sifted flour
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
Combine fruit, sugar, tapioca, and orange peel.
Pour into pie shell.
Mix flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly and sprinkle over top of fruit.
Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes, cover top with foil and bake for 15 more minutes.
