Fireflies!

I read an article online recently (probably WSJ) saying that there haven't been many fireflies come out yet, across the nation, due to the hot dry weather.

Well, after 3 weeks of nearly daily rain, I saw a few fireflies tonight, so maybe they're just late here.

I sit outside every night and haven't seen any yet.

We've seen many fireflies, more than in recent years.

We have seen fireflies since the end of June but not as many as I have previously. They are a great source of entertainment here because the goofy dog chases them and attempts to catch them. So far he has not been successful.
