I had a hamburger, leftover mashed potato, an ear of corn and broccoli.
Your cookies and cake look good, Joan. I'm starting to think about cookies to make for the block party next weekend. Maybe this weekend I'll make the dough, portion it and freeze it to bake a day or two before the party.
Today I made a batch of burger/sandwich buns.
I heated up some rotisserie chicken that I had in the freezer, made mashed potato and an ear of corn.
If Whole Foods is getting rid of the bakery equipment in their stores, where are their bakery products being made these days?
I tossed the box already so I can't see where it was made but my guess is a central food prep kitchen.
I had my brother over on Sunday and made pork tenderloin and hot dogs on the BBQ. A salad and mashed potatoes rounded it out. A Whole Foods cherry pie for dessert. Yesterday I had a leftover hot dog, salad and Whole Foods potato salad. Tonight will be leftover pork and mashed potato and a salad. Easy meal for a hot day.
I had chicken, boiled potato, green beans and a simple salad.
I had a hamburger, salad and an ear of corn.
I love German Chocolate Cake, and Joan, your looks great.
I made a batch of sandwich/burger buns this afternoon.
Well, the pan size is a 5% difference, I think I would hold back 5% of the batter and bake it separately, maybe bake it in a waffle iron.
I did the easy thing today and had Chinese delivery. General Tsao's Chicken, chicken fried rice and won ton soup. Have enough left for tomorrow's lunch.
Macaroni with meat sauce and a salad.
Yesterday I made tostadas with beans, beef and cheddar. Had it with broccoli and an ear of corn.
The picture of Joan's pizza whet my appetite for pizza. So today I made pizza. I didn't want to pre heat the pizza stone for an hour so I made it in a pan. I used 3 layers of cheese.
For the first layer, I put some directly on the crust and then baked it for 5 minutes to melt it. It would have been better if I had thin slices but I only had shredded.
Then I sauced it and applied a thin layer of parm.
Then I added the toppings (sausage, pepperoni and onion) and topped it with cheese.
20 minutes later in a 450 degree oven, it turned into YUM!
I have enough for tomorrow's dinner. I also had a salad with it.

I can't believe it's Thursday already. On Sunday I made steak and hot dogs on the BBQ. So, Sunday was a steak and a hot dog with rice and bbq beans (from a can) and a salad. Monday was leftover steak and hotdog. Tuesday was an Italian sausage with pasta, green beans and a corn on the cob. Yesterday was rotisserie chicken, pasta with sauteed mushrooms and green beans. Tonight was rotisserie chicken, mushrooms, green beans with carrot, and some potato salad.
Joan, did you hide a couple of Aces in the cake? It looks great, everybody at that game is going to be a winner!
