I made a meatloaf for tonight's dinner.
A few months back I bought a box of "Camellia" brand cajun style white beans with seasoning. The box was a 5-point freebie from our Giant supermarket. I added sliced Italian sausage and leftover chicken. It was very good.
Tonight I finished off the chicken parm happy, happy happy 😉
Yesterday I cooked a couple of boneless chicken breasts. Tonight I'm having the leftover one with a little spaghetti and a salad.
RiversideLen, your pizza looks fantastic!!!
I made a small pot of chili , we're getting some much needed rain and it's turned a little cool.
We were so thankful for the rain today, Joan, not only for the drought but for the Brantley wildfire. We have a lot of team members who live in Brantley and the wildfire got close enough to the Glynn County line that there were voluntary and mandatory evacuations near the border. As of today it is 64% contained thankfully.
My friend left on Thursday, so I have my house back, but my physical therapist says I am fine in the house alone, still don't have full use of my right arm but it is improving - I should be able to drive by the end of next week. So I am eating leftovers that my friend made this week and I have easy food in the freezer.
We got back a little before 9 p.m. on Friday from our trip out west after four days of driving. We intended to pick up a rotisserie chicken at the Walmart in Kankakee, but they had sold out, even though it was a little after 6 p.m. We ended up buying some sliced turkey and potato salad, and we had sandwiches on some Trader Joe's bread left over from when we were in San Diego.
For tonight, we had the soup with ground turkey, vegetables, and the Bob's Red Mill Vegi mix that I froze before we went on our trip, along with cornbread.
Cwcdesign glad to hear your doing well and as you so thankful for the rain. What I've seen on TV and heard Brantley and so many more was devastating to see what was happening..I watched a fireman say he lost everything but got his family out and the next day he was back at it God Bless the people .
BakerAunt glad you're back safe and enjoyed your trip.
