We wound up getting a rotisserie chicken from Sams.
For Sunday dinner, we had ham, leftover goat cheese pasta, and microwaved fresh broccoli. I also had an avocado.
Ya'll I have been a busy gal lately.I had a wonderful time in Texas, got to meet my great granddaughter and she was amazing! My family treated me with so much love I was on cloud nine!I got to celebrate a Greek Easter with a whole lamb roasted over a spit I had seen that in NJ before.I spent all of my time with my granddaughter and other grandchildren at my son's ex wife's there is no ex's with me , I love her dearly!Everything was homemade except the pita bread .
Now back to the real world I had a steak and a salad tonight.
Wow, Joan, you had a great time! I'm happy you got to spend time with your family. Isn't it nice to have people take care of you? So wonderful for you.
I'm planning to have a salad with tuna fish, so I made some hard boiled eggs this afternoon.
Started rehab yesterday - mostly stretching and isometrics -still have to keep upper arm close to body - of course tired today.
Debby made a recipe from NYT that I had been eyeing - Broccoli White bean Caesar salad - definitely a keeper, but add an additional crow of broccoli - minor adaptations on prep (make dressing in processor instead of in bowl). To make for me, I would halve the recipe except for the broccoli
That sound delicious, cwcdesign. I'm going to Google that.
Cwcdesign prayers for continued healing and movement !
I had another steak and salad.
Thanks Kimbob , I did have a wonderful time!
My neighbor brought over a large batch of soup. It had a tomato base with mixed veggies, small whole potatoes and meatballs. It was hearty and filling. It just needed some spice which I will add when we have the frozen leftovers.
We had fish for supper, with steamed broccoli.
I had a banana sandwich with yogurt.
Greetings from San Diego, where we will be attending Scott's daughter's wedding this evening. We did a four-day drive, with Annie--the dog who cannot be boarded--and arrived Thursday evening. We had soup that night. We just needed lunch for Friday and Saturday, so I found a Trader Joe's and bought a package of four salmon patties, along with a loaf of bread, and it made great sandwiches. The rehearsal dinner was at a local brewery with a build your own taco bar and churros. We are staying in a cute, 1940s bungalow that Scott found on Air B&B. Tomorrow, we head inland to have lunch with some of my family before spending a day with my college roommate and her husband. We will head back on Tuesday.
