What are you Baking the Week of August 4, 2024?

I baked my chocolate cake for the poker game tomorrow night.

Very nice, Joan, what kind of frosting did you use?

Buttercream -confectioners sugar, butter about 2 tbsp. ,4 tbsp. cocoa a little milk and I added a little corn syrup about 2 Tbsp. about a half tsp vanilla and whipped it good.I eyeballed the confectioners sugar but it was about 3-4 cups. Thank you Mike.

Joan, did you hide a couple of Aces in the cake? It looks great, everybody at that game is going to be a winner!

Len I wish I had a couple Aces lol.Today my friend came and was helping me get some more big tree branches and before we could get through the county road crews came and cut that big pine up and are in the process of getting it hauled off.So thankful they cut the tree in big size chunks and had big equipment to lift those in the dump truck .So two lemon pies for my friends up the road with the farm stand.I'm done baking this week but I love it!
