Chocolate Pecan Brownies

8 tabls. unsalted butter
4 oz. bittersweet chocolate
2 lg. eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. ap or www flour
1/2 teas. baking powder
1/4 teas. salt
3/4 c. chopped pecans
Preheat oven 350 deg. Butter 8 in. square pan. Melt butter and chocolate in medium saucepan over low heat; stir until smooth. Remove from heat.
In large bowl, whisk eggs with sugar until pale and thick. Stir in warm chocolate.
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl, stir into chocolate mixture. Fold in nuts.
Pour in pan. Bake 30-40 minutes until set. Let cool and cut in squares.
