I have a new Tortilla Press! Now what can I do with it? I've never had one before. I bought a toaster at a Goodwill Thrift shop for $9.99, but my father didn't like it. Goodwill won't reimburse cash for items less that $10.00, so I had $9.99 of store credit. I found a tortilla press for $9.99 so I took that home.
Its a lovely thing in its original box but I don't know what I can do with it. Can I use it to make things other than tortillas? Any advice on making tortillas? I've bought them at restauants and grocery stories but thats it.
I've wondered about the tortilla press, Skeptic. I have read that you do need to use waxed paper or parchment when flattening the tortilla dough or it will stick to the press.
I took a look on Youtube. While there are not a lot of things you can do with it, I found some ideas. Crush garlic, crush nuts, press out pie crusts for small pies, press out dumpling dough. Press out pizza dough for small pizzas.
