Saw a hummingbird the other day by the tomato cages, so we got out the feeders and put them up over the weekend. Saw a couple of them checking out a window feeder yesterday, and just saw one feeding at that feeder today.
Now that we know we have a few, we'll probably put out additional feeders. Usually the peak for hummer season is mid-September here.
Our hummingbirds have mostly left for their southern wintering spots, although we still keep our feeders filled for the laggards to drink. They start migrating here in early August. We'll leave the feeders up til mid-September, and put them back up around May 1.
