For Easter dinner, we are having roast turkey, as we had one in the freezer that we bought for an excellent price in January when Aldi's was selling them at discount. I even have a blue bag of Pepperidge Farm stuffing, which I am making as dressing. I will make gravy from pan drippings. We are not having cranberry relish, but I thawed applesauce that I made last fall to go with it. We will also have microwaved frozen peas.
Lunch was a ham sandwich and a slice of cherry pie. We find that we prefer to eat our pie earlier in the day.
We had our ham, some salad and some four-bean salad. No dessert but we've got fresh peanut butter cookies, and the Easter Bunny left a nice basket of goodies.
No cooking here today we had leftover soup and sandwiches.
Happy Easter to everyone.
Soup and sandwich for me,soup for my husband.
My husband isn't doing well,so for my praying friends please say a prayer for him and me.
Joan, I have prayed for your husband's healing. I've also prayed for God to comfort and strengthen you during your crisis.
You and your husband will be in my prayers, too, Joan.
Joan, the Lord brought to mind a Scripture that I hope will help you:
Philippians 4:13.
You and hubby are on my prayer list🙏
Joan, I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm praying both of you to be strong.
Joan, you and your husband are in my prayers.
Thank you all for the prayers it really means a lot to me.
We had chargrilled chicken breast, candied sweet potatoes and green beans.
We had BLT'S with pork-n-beans my husbands request.
I made yogurt on Wednesday. For dinner, I roasted sweet potato chunks tossed in olive oil, which we had with leftover turkey and microwaved fresh broccoli.
Tonight I made a stir fry with a chicken breast and a few shrimp, broccoli, carrot, celery and has it with rice.
